Make Your Dryer Vent As Clean As A Whistle With Prestige Dryer Vent Cleaning

Cleaning your dryer vent involves more than just emptying the lint trap in your dryer. Most often, lint and other particles that are not filtered by the screen pass through and eventually clog the vent, reducing dryer performance and, in severe circumstances, posing a risk of a home fire.

But don’t worry! We’ve got you!

At Prestige Carpet and Duct Cleaning, we use high-pressure air tools to pull built-up lint from your dryer vent, remove blockages and clear the build-up on the sides of the duct, making your home safer and cleaner.

Where Is My Dryer Vent?

Your dryer vent begins wherever your dryer is located because it is connected to your dryer. The basement, first level, or second floor are all potential locations for your dryer vent. The method for cleaning your dryer vent depends on where it is installed. The external vent is cleaned from the outside if accessible, if not we will clean the dryer vent from inside the home.

Happy with the service overall. The Gentlemen were courteous, friendly and did a great job. Small issue/suggestion: I noticed there was a lot of dust blow on the furnace room floor, boxes and mudroom that I had to clean up after they left. Wish they had doublechecked and cleaned up the mess created.

Dryer Vent Cleaning FAQs

Dryer vent cleaning is the cleaning of flexible duct between the dryer and the point where the vent exits the house. Over time this duct may become filled with dust and lint from the dryer. Cleaning helps improve airflow from the dryer, increase energy efficiency, and reduces the risk of a fire.

If your dryer is not working, there could be many causes including a blocked dryer vent.

If your clothes are taking longer than usual to dry and there is excessive lint present in your dryer, it might be time to get your dryer vent cleaned. Other signs that your dryer vent needs to be cleaned include

  1. A burning smell is present when the dryer is running.
  2. The dryer is hot on the outside of the machine when running.
  3. Your laundry room is hot when the machine is running.
  4. Your laundry is overly hot when you take it out of the dyer.
  5. It hasn’t been cleaned in a long time (over a year).

Since your dryer vent is attached to your dryer, wherever you do laundry is where your dryer vent starts! Your dryer vent could be in several different places: the basement, main floor or second floor. Depending on where your dryer vent is located will determine how we clean it. Dryer vent cleaning may be done from the inside of the home (if the external vent is not accessible), or the outside of the home (if the external vent is accessible).
